One of my favorite things to have in the morning is anything that is light and has fruit on it. Fruit is a great way to start you morning because it is refreshing, digests very fast and full of antioxidants. As well as, who doesn't want something chocolate flavored for breakfast?? The list of benefits of overnight oats goes on forever...they help reduce type two diabetes, prevents heart diseases, can boost your fiber intake and more! Now, lets get in to how to make this breakfast treat:
Must make the night before eating!!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of gluten free oats
- 1 tbsp cacao powder
- pinch of salt
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- 1/2 cup almond milk or any nut milk
- fruit of choice
- 1 tsp cacao nibs
- drizzle of agave
Directions:
- In a bowl mix oats, cacao powder, salt, and maple syrup
- Once fully combined, add the milk
- Sprinkle the tsp of cacao nibs on top
- Cover bowl with plastic wrap, in the fridge until next morning
Morning Of:
- Add your desired amount of fruit on top and drizzle your agave for some extra sweetener
