How I Became Vegan and Gluten Free

Updated: May 11, 2020

My Journey:

As I teenager, I got diagnosed that I was allergic to dairy and gluten. I had a constant running nose and it was hard to breathe from time to time and it was because gluten and dairy. I had to completely cut all those foods out of my lifestyle. At first, I was annoyed and frustrated because those were the only food groups I was familiar with, but in the long run I knew it would be better for me. I began eating healthier since most food that is gluten and dairy free is better for you. I also starting working out and realized dairy isn't good for you and I wanted to lose some weight. Besides working out, no diary and gluten helped me notice how important it is for people to eat healthy. Years later, I am proud to be gluten and diary free but still found to be bloated and heavy all the time. The vegan trend was circling the internet and wanted to see what everyone was talking about. Being vegan to me was the ultimate way to be super healthy and I wanted to try it out. I slowly would stop eating meat and only have it once or twice a week. One day I had chicken nuggets with other vegetables for dinner and the next day I woke up feeling so bloated and disgusted the whole day. I knew meat was not an essential in my diet and could live without it. From that day on I have been vegan and gluten free

and it has made me a much happier person.
